Do you think the larger
Canadian society and government agencies, as well as educational systems and teachers
are guilty of doing nothing in the face of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls
to Action? How do you see us moving forward on reconciliation in view of the fear of
making a mistake, cultural appropriation and reverting to colonial ways, as suggested in
the paper by Chelsea Vowel? This is a tough question that you may wish to reflect upon
in your own thoughts and voice. In other words, speak your truth – there will be no
judgement on my part.
