To encourage users to “dish dirt,” the site promised total anonymity: It did not require a login or username; its slogan was “Always anonymous…Always juicy”; and it assured its users that it was impossible “for anyone to find out who you are and where you are located.” The site also instructed users on how to download IP-cloaking software to further ensure anonymity.
